Insotel Club Cala Mandia

Flight from stanstead everything went smoothly. Landed at Palma went straight through. Our private taxi was waiting for us, Taxi transfers on Facebook fantastic company. We arrived 11.45am. Our room wasn't ready but we checked in left our cases in the room provided & went for a walk round hotel, the grounds are lovely. 13.30 Our room was ready we were in 1036 swim up the room was clean, the terrace was big with a double sun bed, 1 lounger, 2 chairs table. Parasol. The pool was lovely not too cold. In room is a fridge hair dryer, safe toiletries towels etc. 1 bottle of free water. Big bed however it was hard. 2 big wardrobes, the sofa/child bed in living room was hard to sleep on too. The food was great im a picky eater but there was always something nice to eat. Breakfast cereal,fruit, bacon sausage eggs bread salad, omelette cheeses hams etc. The pancakes in the indoor area was delicious, there's chocolate honey to put on them too. Lunch had various hot meats,veg potato's rice paella agsin fresh fruit,salads hams cheeses. Desserts were all yummy. Dinner had different foods from kebabs, hot dogs, chicken, jacket potatoes, Indian chinese nights too. 50s diner is fantastic the staff, dancers all very friendly. The burgers were delicious so were the desserts my wife had the banana boat which came with 3 flavours of ice cream. I had the chocolate brownie which also had vanilla ice cream & cream. Our granddaughter had cheese cake & strawberry & vanilla ice cream. Its a def restaurant to visit. We didnt vist any of the others. We spent most of our time in our swim up pool. So cant comment on entertainment. The shop behind the spar is fantastic for inflatables, nic nacks souvenirs towels, beach bags ice creams etc, so much cheaper than the spar shop & much friendlier. My wife tried a couple of cocktails from the bar she said they were very nice. Our granddaughter (4) loved the strawberry milkshakes. Theres also vanilla & chocolate. I only drink caffeine free so the coke in buffet waa great for me. My wife loved the cappuccino. We filled our own Stanley cups up the bar staff happy to do that. We also had our granddaughter drinks bottle filled. The whole hotel is clean & tidy. The pools all lovely. We stayed 7nights no stomach problems etc. I used chemist across road from reception due to me burning my back & the lady was lovely she gave me some gel was only 14 euros & wow it worked straight away helped the burning & itching. Don't buy the aloe vera from souvenir shops they arent any good! We took the transfer bus back to palma airport which was around a hour & we were the 2nd pick up. Palma airport waa and absolute nightmare if you have children you join the family queue which was massive! They ended up pulling out the queue so we would miss our flight. Our flight once on board was 45mins late to leave. However we landed 30mins later than we should have. Please don't listen to negative reviews. This hotel is fantastic.

We had the best time here as a family group of 8 with 4 children. Food was fab, pools were fab and staff were all friendly. Our original room was abit unsatisfactory however we were moved straight away to a more suitable family room. The entertainment did finish at 10 which we felt was too early for us but all in all this is a fab hotel.

Excellent facilities, food, service, rooms, and staff. The buffet food had great variety. Clean, friendly & quiet.. A handful of restaurants outside the hotel within minutes walk.. Great Aqua center (indoor & outdoor) for kids to enjoy safely. David at Client Services was excellent, very informative, helpful, and honest in the advice he gave. We wish we spoke to him on arrival as we only spoke to him 2 days before departure. We had emailed the hotel before travelling about car rental - but unfortunately they did not connect us to David nor to the rental company that has a counter in the hotel a few hrs a day.. So we made other transportation plans - but there was useful advice right in the hotel!!

We have been here several times and it’s been amazing every time. Staff are accommodating, facilities are fantastic and family friendly. Many thanks to David for being extremely accommodating

Nice family stay we manage to have a break at the same time our small kids where having fun every day!
