San Fermin by Dorobe

Stayed here from 6-13 June and had a great time. The hotel is in a good location as you can easily walk down to the beach or up towards Arroyo de la Miel area and it was quiet at night. Only 25 mins in a taxi from the airport so ideal location. The hotel is bright and spacious and the 2 pools were spotless. Always managed to get a sunlounger although some were broken and would only lie flat. I did see new loungers arriving so it looks like they are getting replaced. I tried the gym but only once as the air conditioning does not work there - I lasted 45 mins then admitted defeat! Shame as it does have potential. The food in the restaurant was excellent, great variety. I am a vegetarian and always managed to find numerous items to eat. Food was replaced quickly when it was running low. Our room was in block B on the 4th floor and was bright and spacious. The walk in shower was very powerful, thoroughly enjoyed it. There were quite a few scuff marks on the walls and a hole in the ceiling by the door which let it down slightly. Air con was fabulous. The WiFi was very poor and so intermittent it became funny, it does need looked at. I did enjoy my stay here and do recommend the hotel. Not sure if I would return though as I found Benalmadena has gone downhill from previous trips and the streets around the hotel were filthy. Shame as the hotel is decent.

Just returned from 4 night stay 8 - 12 June. Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Communal areas very clean. Great pool area with plenty sun loungers for everyone and pool towels if you need them. Very chilled atmosphere. We didn't pay extra for pool view but I did email ahead and ask for a room with a pleasant view and afternoon sun. We were on floor 3 of block B which faced onto trees, rooftops and mountains. Room was modern and comfortable with good facilities. We were room only so cant comment on food but what we could see on walking past the restaurant it looked very good. All in all a great hotel in good location close to beach, Bonanza Square, and 10 minute walk to Marina. Would definitely recommend.

perfect hotel, i love it so much! very clean and have everything you need here

We stayed here for 4 nights in early May. We did use the online check in via email to make the process quicker so when we arrived it only took about 5 minutes to get our keys. Room was lovely and overlooked the pool on the 3rd floor in the corner. We had fab views of pool, sea and mountains. Room was clean and had all we needed and enough space for the 2 of us. Didn’t have any food at the hotel, but drinks were reasonable. The bank up is quite steep and we often stopped half way. Overall we had a great times and would certainly return
