Benalma Hotel Costa del Sol

I am just back from a visit to this hotel. Very clean throughout, and beds comfy. But the food was eatable but nothing special, hence the 3 stars. The adult pool was tiny, and the beach bar closed at 5 pm which was a shame because we were on the beach until late. The children’s pool was bigger but closed at 6 pm as did the adult pool. Not ideal. We enjoyed our holiday, but I would not stay at this hotel again. For the £1,200 we each paid for a weeks holiday it was not what we expected.

Location a little bit out of Belamàdena,but this suited us. There is a train and bus service very close to hotel. Nice clean hotel. The rooms all face the sea.. stunning views. The bed was large and cleaned daily.. the bed itself was very firm( too firm for me) there was no English tv channels. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A waiter named Luiz was very nice and couldn't do enough for us, went over and above board to make us feel valued. Another waitress named victoria had a smile and was very attentive . Her face lit up when we spoke to her. The reception staff were very professional. In fact all the staff were helpful and courteous. Only one grumpy life guard who was slightly ignorant and unhelpful ( perhaps he was hot or had personal issues?).this did not affect our stay. The daytime entertainment was a little ad-hoc. Only saw one entertainment team staff. I like dancing and water aerobics and was disappointed that there was only one shirt session. The entertainment staff( lady,) was however very nice and I had no issues with her. But it seemed like there was a staff shortage? Or the management don't want to pay for a great animation team that we have been used to in 4 star resorts. The nighttime entertainment was okay. The room however is not very appropriate ( size wise yes but, low ceilings and half the room in darkness stage in wrong place? They could improve this.

An incredible vacation. Great entertainment during the day and shows in the evening. Friendly bartenders.

Falián was lovely, such a lovely member of the staff in the hotel. the whole stay was stunning. will definitely be coming back!

Excellent hotel with choice of pool and beach on site. Great entertainment team with various games for kids and adults. Great selection of food at the all inclusive buffet. Hotels very clean an all staff friendly. Short taxi journey to marina which is stunning with a variety of bars and restaurants. Highly recommend for couples, family’s and groups of friends. Adidos.
