Royalton CHIC Punta Cana Resort & Spa

To call this a “luxury” or “5 star” resort is a joke! Food both buffet and all restaurants offer garbage quality food. Food offerings were cold, repetitive and bland. AC in rooms do not work. Any setting won’t get you better than a mid to high 70’s. Constant harassment from staff to attend their “VIP breakfast”. Every day for 5 days my “concierge” bothered me pleading with me to attend this event which is a sales person joining you at the breakfast buffet in an attempt to upsell you on their Diamond Club membership. This resort might have been nice 10 years ago…as for now it’s falling apart. Everywhere you look there is damage to the facility and fixtures. I would not return to this resort if they gave me a free week in their most expensive room! Huge disappointment.

Great experience at Royalton Chic Punta Cana! We booked a swim out room with the butler service (our butler was Lowarkis) - great room and environment! Staff were super friendly!

Had a wonderful experience with Lowarkis he was the butler during our stay! Made us all feel very welcomed and constantly checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed! Highly recommend him! Also the new guy that’s part of the Vibe Team was awesome! (I forget his name) but so energetic and humble made sure to include us in all the activities and made sure we had a great time!

On varrival we thought we had booked the other Royalton resort in punta cana which we first stayed at 5 years ago which was much better. Rooms are nice, we requested in advance for 2 beds and they gave my friend and i a bed to share. After not accepting they moved us to a 2 bed but with a smaller balcony. Would be nice to have a door on the bathroom area. Rooms are spacious and airy. Food in main buffet bit repetative, its small resort, limited options. Only nuce speciality restaurant is the italian. Evening entertainment is poor. This resort has a mixturr of young and oldĺ. Staff are friendly and work hard. The beach area is not best lots of seaweed wash ashore. Hotel is attractive but i probably would not return.
