We stayed in January 2026. We literally had the best time!!! Rooms - rooms are very nice and spacious well stocked with refreshments. Grounds- the place is very nice and tidy. Don’t let the comments about cats put you off! They usually come out early evening and don’t bother us at all. Food- the resultants are unbelievable we thought Yurka was the best! Entertainment - we really thought the entertainment team made this hotel, they are brilliant . Pool and beach - lovely!! Couldn’t fault anything. We will define go back!

Honest review this hotel was good we stayed 14 night . The good points Great staff very friendly pool are clean plenty of sunbeds normally the food was great fresh meat and fish cooked in front of you rooms are great big rooms large bed house keeping very good every day mini fridge refilled if you use it . Entertainment well we found this pretty good to be honest with some good singers Drinks every spirit you want is on offer here including international spirits . Bar staff some of these were excellent Bed points Draft beer me personally I could not drink it it was watery thin with no taste They did have some can of beer but they never had enough kept running out . Music around the pool it was good but a little bit to much banging music

I got food poisoning from a burger at the beach restaurant. Lost 3 days of my trip. Management did nothing to compensate me. I requested they take care of our spa bill of $200. They said they don’t do that. All I got was a ‘sorry’ and that I could write an email to customer service when I got back home.

Great expectations we had - very disappointed Lobby bar impossible to get a seat in the evenings queue at the bar was long very little service Palmyra buffet we avoided food was cold and the drinks situation again was non existent Las Brisas beach restaurant was ok however we drink tea and we were give. Tea pots with saucers for lids and one day a jug with a lid on - the glasses for water are glass the champagne flutes are all plastic and very worn and old The pool we voided tbh lot of people sat in there all day long drink ing and never seemed to use the bathroom The sea had sargassum in as well as the beach if this bothers you dont come here may to end september its there most days The weather was beautiful every day the resort is lovely but a bit tired and in need of some decorating the doors and walls are all scuffed for example The cat situation is concerning poor babies - we fed them along with other guests No waiter service on the beach very little around the pool Your choice but its not the same standard we stayed here 2 years ago and its took a nose dive

Second stay here, last time was approx 15 years ago. Rooms were fine, decent size and good bedding, the shower door is clear glass so the person taking a shower has no privacy may or may not be an issue for some. Housekeeping and the staff re stocking the fridges were excellent with personalities! Gym has improved from out last stay, new equipment, well maintained, cool, always opens on time, and cold water on hand. Food at the buffet was good and all the staff were pleasant and fun,the chefs at the egg stations were excellent and made it fun to order.The steak meal we had at Meats was as good as the Rib-eye we had two days prior at a 4 Diamond resort a couple days prior, amazing service! restaurant however needs air conditioning was very hot! The main pool is clean and of good size, lots of chairs, amazing bartenders working hard all day every day, Mixology exceeded expectations. The pool water however was WAY too warm and uncomfortable for 30 deg heat, it made it impossible to cool down and regulate the body heat, when leaving the ocean then going in the pool the pool water felt as if you were entering a hot tub and would sting if you had a sunburn, friends we met all agreed., Pool water temp is now something I am adding to my list when researching a resort to stay. I have to mention a couple of negative service experiences as well, at the lunch restaurant on the left of the main pool they have a la carte food and a buffet at 12.30 The first time we went there we were told we could not order anything and had to wait till the lunch buffet opens and were rude about it then proceeded to take orders form other people (Spanish speaking) a waiter in another section did eventually take our order. We went back the next day and it was worse, we sat down for 10 minutes while 4 waitresses ignored us, actually pointed and jeered at us, while the three other tables of Spanish speaking customers were pleasantly served, I went to the staff that were ignoring us if it was possible to order and I was barked at and was told to sit and wait till the got to me, my wife was so mad she took names and reported the ladies to management that evening, we did not consider going back there, another couple took us over the Esmeraldas lunch for the reminder of our trip. On more honorable mention to Yennifer the pool lady for towels,I went to ask for a towel, waited for a few minutes while she was giving a resort presentation on a tablet, I asked if she could please pass me a towel, all she had to do was reach to the left and pass it to me, she rudely barked back and me and told me I would have to wait till she was finished with her (resort presentation to someone in Spanish) I waited and when I finally got a chance I asked hew why is was such a problem for me to get a towel? this is not a situation that one would expect any drama, I have never been addressed this way at any resort, both the towel and lunch incidents were not appreciated! Although the other 99% of the staff were excellent I feel obligated to mention this to help Hyatt management as well as fellow travelers. Other than that I think this resort is still a good value at this price range, I would give this resort a higher rating bit the pool water temp took away from this holiday!
