Riu Tequila

First time in Mexico will definitely go back this hotel was amazing and had a great beach which wasn’t too far away or you could get the golf buggy which goes to and from the hotel to beach. It is a very lively hotel always something going on and has its own nightclub if you like to stay out late. We were in a ground floor room which was lovely cleaned every day and fridge restocked every couple of days and had a coffee machine and bar optics and a free safe and an iron and ironing board. The food and drinks are all great i don’t know why people complain we went to the Chinese restaurant no problems getting in and it’s a buffet restaurant, the steak restaurant was more busy we had to wait about an hour but it was fine it’s a set menu which was nice. The pools are okay no problem getting a sunbed but we didn’t go the swim up bar pool as it had a very bad reputation. The entertainment team and all the staff are all amazing and very hard working. This is definitely a party hotel they have neon party and a white party which were really good. It was definitely worth the money!! Ladies if your taking a hairdryer check the voltage I took a shark flex style and it wouldn’t work as the voltage was too high.

First time to mexico& the riu tequila tp celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary did not disappoint,when we arrived reception staff very welcoming and explained everything in detail,we arrived to our room the had put balloons&bottle of tequilawhich was a nice gesture so thankyou for that,oom was ok but to many stairs to get to room next day we got moved closer to reception &pool area.The staff can I just point out can not do enough for you and they work so hard to please everyone, food was always plenty and always fresh&hot,loved the salads&soup delicious 😋 ,Can I say a special mention to the young girl diana at the sports bar what lovely girl always friendly,caring ,polite always remember what you drinked. We wanted to thank all the staff for a memorable holiday and will definitely be back next year,we have travelled all over the world and this has to be one of the best hotel run very well.See you's next year.mr&mrs walker room 206

We stayed at the riu may this year for two weeks we stayed there nine years ago and to be honest it's gone down hill food ok sea food fish ect but if you like your meat rare or medium forget it well done order of the day drinks was there two weeks did not see a bottle Smirnoff all the time I was in him bean but sometimes a poor man's substitute and ladies if you drink your drinks with a straw take your own reusable ones they don't have any savings $30000 a year and the environment entertainment staff work so hard something going on all day all staff work so hard ,few bits of trouble drunk people the adult pool was emptied one day someone sick in there but overall not would I return no there are much nicer places for the money.

Pools were never cleaned I got blisters every time I went in and ear infection

I went here 3 years ago and loved it had zero complaints this time we have went I felt it’s went down hill we could not even sit in the swim up bar people eatting in the pool been sick and other things I don’t want to mention We also seen so many people getting very very drunk in that pool and still getting served We seen more of security mangers TUI rep throwing people out like it was spring break I felt like the staff would wait till someone hurt them self or someone befour doing anything to these people drinking tequila all day especially in 30 degree heat After the experience it’s sad we won’t be back for 3rd time
