I stayed for three nights with my mum (70s) and my sister (we're both unfortunately in our early 50s). When I was looking to book I wanted to make sure there weren't too many stairs as my mum has an iffy knee. We chose the annex which was across the small piazzale from the main hotel. The hotel was closed for refurbishment when we were there but this did not detract from our stay. We used the sister hotel around the corner for check-in etc. The annex... amazing! There were two large beds in the bedroom, they must have been doubles along with its own bathroom. I slept on the sofa bed in the living area. Wow! I don't think I've slept in a more comfortable bed, nevermind sofa bed! Fabulous. It had a tiny kitchenette which enabled us to have a quick cuppa in the morning and a quick prosecco at bedtime! Both bathrooms were great. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Location...I am not really sure there could be better. Close to everything in San Marco and the Grand Canal, easy walk to Canneregio and Castello but at the same time it is in a small quiet square with very little noise. Admittedly this was December so not the height of the tourist season but we were there for Regata dei Babbi Natale which draws in the crowds. Staff at the sister hotel we're friendly and helpful and accompanied us to the accommodation to make sure everything was ok. I highly recommend this hotel specifically the annex and I certainly hope to return. Sorry I didn't take any pics of the accommodation but wow Venice is truly amazing.

This is the finest of all small hotels where we ever stayed, and we have stayed in every major city in Europe. Happened upon it when the hotel where we were supposed to stay was under construction. Met Veronica, whose family has owned the hotel for at least one generation. They immediately accommodated us, and, as it was available, got an upgraded room for the base rate. The breakfast was a full English breakfast and was sumptuous. The room, indeed, the hotel was recently upgraded. Walking distance to St. Mark’s Square. FANTASTICO! Did not find it through Trip Advisor but want my colleague members know about this little jewel box.

So we went to Venice 5-9 November, the hotel is in perfect location 5 minutes from all the big things you have to see in Venice such as Palaco Ducale, Saint Marcos Square and Basilika. The hotel room was a beauty. Big and cozy. The breakfast was small but very good. The waitress, the receptionists and the cute Housekeeping lady, everyone was so friendly and accomondating. Small errors on the ceeling of the corridors and some holes but thats small.
