Ikos Oceania

First Ikos experience and wow did it live up to the name. We normally do a lot of 5 star all inclusive hotels but I have to say Ikos have outdone themselves from start to finish. So impressed with the whole experience from the taxi rides, the complimentary car to visit other beaches. The room service and the most amazing food. I know it’s been said before but honestly the staff here are exceptional. Elisabeth on check in could not have been more helpful and informative. She especially came and found us at the Asian to make sure we were happy with everything, she told us places to go and see with great detail and sorted our lunch boxes and a very special Birthday treat for me which was much appreciated 😀 We went to the beach everyday which was beautiful - the beach guys cannot do enough for you Greg and Tasos to name a few always bringing ice cold water and frappes with a smile you can also order food if you wanted but we preferred the restaurants. The beach club is amazing (best cookie desert) my daughter has ever had apparently! All the restaurants were fantastic and all tasted different not all the same with different names like other places we have stayed. Our favourite was the Beach club and Asian. Lordi served our pre dinner drinks every night with a big smile and we enjoyed our chats with him. He couldn’t do enough for you. Also thank you to Demetrius he was so helpful and courteous. The WhatsApp is a fantastic addition we have never experienced before. So nice to not see endless queues at reception and anything you need is answered in minutes. Couldn’t fault the staff, food or drink. Would love to try another Ikos but think we have been spoilt in Oceana. The grounds are immaculate. The flowers by Provence are so beautiful great food and relaxed pool for adults to. The entertainment was mediocre apart from the band of 3 guys who were fantastic and the gymnast in the wheel! Wow! All in all loved Ikos and will 100% return. Thank you all.

Effie was so warm and friendly and my kids both really enjoyed their swimming lessons with her. I wish she lived in England with us

Effie is simply the best. Such a warm and lovely person and so highly qualified which you could tell even from a short conversation. She was so good with our 3 year old daughter and we feel even in the few lessons we managed on our holiday, she made progress with her swimming. She took time to build trust and learn about the stage of progression she was at before the lesson. This enabled her to build on existing skills. This was great as it enabled our daughter to gain the most out of the lesson from the short time we had together. Effie's attention to details and approach is second to none. I only wish we could continue to have Effie to teach our daughter. Thank you very much.

Our 8th visit to Ikos Oceania, despite me saying many years ago that I would never visit the same place twice. The usual efficient Ikos arrival procedure at Thessaloniki Airport, Ikos representative and driver waiting in the arrivals hall, straight out to the Mercedes saloon and off on a 35 minute journey to Oceania. We were met at Oceania, as always, by a member of Guest Services. This time it was Alexandra, a recently recruited member of staff, she carried out a comprehensive talk about Oceania and its facilities,supplied us with a cold towel and suggested a drink after our journey. Black Americano and tea! But anything is available. This being our 8th visit we were fairly well up on the ins and outs of Oceania. Alexandra explained that our room was unfortunately not ready and that we might like to partake of lunch, seemed like a very good suggestion so off we trooped to Flavours although we could have gone to Ouzo,Provence or the Beach Cub. Alexandra was ever present throughout our stay and proved a real asset to our enjoyment for the two weeks. Our room, a Junior Suite Sea View, was ready for us soon after lunch so off we went for the joys of unpacking. The room was standard, walk in shower, two small sinks and all the usual toiletries,now in large bottles fastened to the wall, but kept topped up by the efficient cleaning crew, the usual 3 pin socket by the smart tv just waiting for our multi usb plug to be utilised. A bit of spare space before the door to the balcony.Good sized balcony with 4 chairs and a table looking out over the roof of Block 5 to a marvellous sea view. Being of an age at which I am not permitted to drive the Mini for a day( with no discount on my stay!) I cannot comment on the available cars. I think I counted 10 Mini Countrymen. As an alternative mode of transport there were 70 bicycles of varying types near to Reception. A busy team kept the guests supplied with everything from an infants push along to electric bicycles. I was tempted but common sense prevailed! The restaurants; the only one not sampled was Fresco, in fact I’ve never been in one in any of the Ikos resorts. The remainder, Provence- excellent, Anaya- superb, Ouzo - wonderful, Beach Club - a bit cramped but very nice meal. Flavours- we really enjoyed the spread put on every day by a very hard working team, the standard was remarkable at every meal.The adult section was a bonus, looked after by Konstantina. She was a pleasure to chat to throughout our stay, another example of dedicated Ikos staff! Dine out; Erodios in Nea Moudania, splendid selection of food and wine, nice atmosphere and of course Oceania supply transport there and back. Akti in Paralia Dionisiou ( I think thats correct), just a few minutes in the opposite direction to Nea Moudania, we weren’t impressed, food was so so, service was not up to scratch. But back to Oceania. We spent suitable days on the beach, plenty of sun loungers, a superb crew looking after your every need including lunch. I was pleased to see that Sofia had transferred her hard working skills back to the beach after a year in the main lobby bar, the beach is the definite winner with her inter-personal skills and work rate. Buggies were available, via the very polite security team, to transfer one of us back up the hill to the accommodation. It was a lung stretching walk for me! Every member of staff at Oceania seemed determined to ensure that our stay was the most enjoyable and memorable that we had, the few staff whose names I remember, Nesia in Reception, Anna, the Provence Manager, the ladies who cleaned the top floor of Block 1 ( day and evening shifts)wonderful , wonderful people! Our stay at Oceania was yet again a delightfultwo weeks, I have failed to find anywhere to match it so it’s a return trip to Ikos Oceania in 2027 for us!
