Blue Bay Resort

What a great place, every staff member were helpful, food was lovely and varied. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, bed was so comfy too, thank you for the swan towels ! Mini bus to the beach that we used a few times saved a very steep walk. Eating out on the balcony of the dining area was lovely with the added bonus of a glorious sunset each night. Thank you Blue Bay, we will be back xx

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Bay Resort. Perched on a cliff above Agia Pelagia, the hotel has the most incredible views over the Cretan Sea — we never got bored of just sitting and taking it in, whether at sunrise, sunset, or any time in between. The setting really makes the hotel feel special. The food was excellent throughout our stay, with great variety and quality at the main restaurant — we always found plenty to enjoy. The evening entertainment was a real surprise too — much better than we expected, and a nice way to round off the day. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Overall a fantastic experience, largely thanks to that breathtaking location.

A tale of two halves!!!! We stayed in the Annex which is a 5 minute walk from the main building ! We also had 66 steps to climb to our room on 2nd floor! No lifts!! The room was very cramped ( the brochure photo was very deceptive!). The bathroom had very smelly drains, the shower was absolutely terrible running scalding hot and brutally cold in a kind of cycle of two to three minutes.There was no coffee or tea facility in the room either so we had to drag ourselves over to the main hotel every morning for a wake up cuppa. I would have to advise anyone thinking of staying there to reconsider and pay the extra for the main hotel building as that was very well presented and food was very good standard in fact we felt like second class guests. We should have reached out to the Jet2 rep or even the hotel for a new room but being British we just stuck it out but by the end we felt we let ourselves down by not voicing our concerns earlier. So on the whole it is a very good hotel but the annex building is awful and made our holiday miserable.

Had a lovely 2 week holiday at Blue Bay. My partner and I arrived at the hotel after a long day of travelling at 3am. The man on reception was friendly and had a packed lunch prepared for us as he checked us in. The rooms could probably do with an upgrade as they are slightly dated, however the bed was super comfy and the room was spotless so no complaints. We were in the second building which is a couple minutes walk up the hill from the main building. It wasn’t a problem for us as it was slightly quieter which was nice, there was another bar and pool in our building too however we did tend to use the main pools in the main building. Breakfast was nice, same sort of things every day, and after a few days we got into a routine of skipping breakfast and going for lunch and dinner instead. There was never an issue to find sunbeds even as late as 1 or 2pm in the afternoon there was always some decent sunbeds available. The food here is very very impressive. Although we were here for 2 weeks and did skip dinner a few times to eat out, we never found it too repetitive and even still, I would the food over and over again because it was so tasty. Desserts are also approved. They had such lovely and different desserts which was the highlight of my holiday! In terms of the drinks, alcohol was a bit of an issue because as well as the local wine and beer, it was only Ouzo and Raki available and we werent massive fans of that. Anything else was an extra charge unfortunately but we made do and it wasn’t a huge deal for us. Staff are all very friendly and helpful and welcoming and the area is lovely. Not a huge amount to do but if you are after a relaxing holiday with a nice walk into the village then I would highly recommend. The walk to the local beach is steep and although there is a free shuttle at certain times, we only spent a day there and that was enough for hs. We did prefer the beach in Agia Pelagia village as it was busier with more bars and shops and water sports. Would also highly recommend the quadbike tour with the company that are just outside the hotel - £37 each for a sunset tour and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We did also do a day trip to Santorini which was lovely. We had a lovely time here and would definitely like to come back in the future

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, super clean ( cleaners out all the time ), the staff are super friendly and can’t do enough for you, good choice of food in the buffet restaurant never the same thing twice, had a great time here and would definitely come back, highly recommend a visit
