Stayed in a deluxe seaview room that had an uninterrupted view from the large balcony along the winding coastline all the way to the old town. The room was spacious and was meticulously cleaned every morning. If you require quiet during the day, book one of these rooms. At night it overlooks the amphitheater, but the performances end by around 10:30. If you need tranquility during the evening, book either a pool view room as the pools close at 6pm or a garden view room in/ near to the reception block. The morning buffet was always the same selection, but the lunch and dinner buffets varied every day with different meats such as lamb, quail, chicken, beef, duck, crab, and a variety of other grilled seafood. Inbetween buffets there's burgers, fries, hotdogs, waffles, pancakes, etc, between 12-5pm from poolside bars. This was great as many resorts only offer light snacks inbetween buffet times. The treatment by staff is pot luck. Most went above and beyond with their service, whilst others were borderline rude. I encountered unacceptable behavior from staff at reception and in the buffet 4 times during my 10 day stay. Although I have to say that Beman was exceptional at reception, he was the star of my stay and also one of the buffet floor managers was really attentive, but I can't remember his name. However, the management were extremely apologetic about the staff incidents and endeavored to personally look into each issue. Additionally, the reception needs more staff as there were always queues every time I went to reception with only one person at the desk although there are 3 reception kiosks. There's plenty of reviews mentioning maintenance issues, those are correct. On my first day the toilet stopped working, so I changed rooms. A few days later there was no water or electricity for most of the day with utterly no apology, explanation or gratuities for the inconvenience. I had to use bottled water to wash and as there was no emergency lighting in the building guests had to use the flashlight from our phones to navigate the pitch black passages and stairways. Reviews also criticize the wifi. This is also correct. The wifi in my room kept cutting out and it's inconsistent throughout the resort. If wifi is a must, either purchase an esim data package before arriving or buy a physical sim with data when arriving at the airport. Regarding tipping, some staff will tell you that they've just had a baby, that they're leaving, etc, to try to use emotional manipulation to get money from you. Don't believe any of it! Wait until your last day to only tip those that genuinely provided a great service throughout your stay. The spa treatments are the same price as in the UK unless you book a package. For example, £60 for a 1hr massage, but £120 if you book 3, (so £40 each). Although you can book a massage via the rep at an external spa for £35. Gravity is situated along Sahl Hasheesh Bay and is one of the furthest resorts away from the old town. There's a free shuttle to take you there during the day, or you can hire a golf cart and drive along the bay and be there in around 15 minutes. One of my favorite things to do was driving along the promenade at night when it's illuminated by the colorful lights from the many resorts. The carts are 1500 Egyptian Pounds per hour from outside Gravity, but if you walk to the cart hire further up the promenade it's 1000 EP, (around £15) and they have a lot more choice of cart styles and sizes. I'm not sure if I'd return to Gravity. I loved the room and the buffet selection, but because of the maintenance issues, encountering rude staff, poor wifi and distance from the old town, I'd probably try a different resort further along Sahl Hasheesh Bay. But I'll check out other reviews nearer to my next trip to see if the issues have been resolved. If they have been, I'd gladly stay at Gravity again.
