Ocean Paradise Resort & Spa

Really pleased with the location People told us that the sea goes out a long way but living in the uk we are use to this. Its opens up a mini beach safari where plenty of the beach boys would be willing to give you a little tour. The beach is lovely and when the sun is shining the colour of the water is amazing. Reference the beach boys and girls . Yeah they are after business but are really polite and also not pushy if you are polite back. The Atmosphere of the hotel is very chilled laod back and very smiley. The staff ate the friendliest iv ever come across on my travels. Great buffet restaurant with a diferent theme every night. Entertainment on every night around the pool bar/restauarant. Food and drinks manager Scotty from Scotland is really friendly and attentive. He makes himself know to the guests. Curry night was excellent. The rooms are very spacious and decorated typically African. Each night the staff come in and turn down your sheets and lower the mosquito net around the bed. I think all rooms have a sea view although in ours you only just were able yo see the sea. No issue whatsover with our room. Would i return to this hotel ? In a heart beat i would. 6 nights wasnt long enough to explore the islands and also lap up the sun sea and sand. Thank you yo all staff that made us feel so welcome Dash and Claire from the Uk

Rarely if ever do we give 5 stars, but this is fully deserved. We stayed for a week in early June and had a fantastic experience – in line with the best reviews already on here. Our photos attached do not do this place justice. The Staff (Standout) This is what makes the resort. We’ve never stayed somewhere where every member of staff is so consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Scotty (F&B Manager) is exceptional – he connects with guests, adapts to what you want, and goes well beyond his role. From helping with excursions, to following up on requests, to even sourcing avocado for my wife after a passing comment – he really sets the tone. He also organised a brilliant beach volleyball evening – relaxed, fun, and very well judged. Across the whole team, the same applies: you can ask any of the staff for help and they absolutely listen, help and do all they can to give you the best experience. Rooms - We stayed in a double room which was: Spotless; Quiet and comfortable; Well air conditioned Housekeeping was excellent – daily refresh, evening turndown, and mosquito spray. We asked for a softer mattress after the first night and it was sorted immediately. Food was consistently very good: Buffet style but varied enough not to feel repetitive Strong seafood selection All-inclusive setup was simple and easy Cocktails were great, and service was excellent – including drinks brought to your sunbed if you want them. Pool and beach are right next to each other Limited sunbeds by the pool, but plenty on the beach literally 20 meters away. Private beach area is peaceful and well managed Tides are noticeable, but still easy to swim Activities: We used the on-site “One Ocean” dive centre – very professional and well organised, with transport arranged. Great experience overall. Evenings are simple and done well: Live music, singers, plus a great acrobatic/dance group one night Relaxed, low-key atmosphere that fits the setting perfectly One Consideration: If staying longer than a week and you want lots of activity, you might want to plan a few trips. We did a boat and a scuba dive. For a week, it was perfect. Overall A relaxed, beautifully run resort where all the staff genuinely make the difference. Perfect for couples or anyone looking for a calm, high-quality stay with consistently excellent service. We left feeling happy, rested and very well looked after – and were genuinely sorry to leave.

Verry friendly en lovely employees, amazing area, with lot off palm trees. The meal was so good. We had a beatifull time at Ocean Paradise. The room was clear with a amazing view. There are different relax areas in Ocean Paradise.

Absolutely fantastic resort, beautiful setting, lovely facilities/rooms and the GM Scott and his team are nothing short of wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, Scott is a lovely guy and clearly takes pride in providing an excellent service and customer experience at all times, the team here are incredible and it’s honestly one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The food and beverages are great and I loved the daily cocktails and themed food nights. 4 star resort but everything was absolutely 5 star.

Spent 5 days on vacation at this resort in Zanzibar and was very pleasantly surprised. After a week of safari travel, the intention was to relax here, and this place certainly fitted the bill. We stayed in a Superior Seafront Room on a full-board, all-inclusive basis. The room was a very large, air-conditioned building styled as a nicely styled with a huge bed surrounded by the essential mosquito nets. The separate bathroom was large as well and designed to "wrap around" the building. The resort itself is set along a public beach (although the hotel does have a private"Beach " area just in front of the public beach. Food at the resort was very good, mostly buffet style. The breakfast buffet had all the normal sections you would expect, including international cooked foods, eggs boiled, fried, scrambled and poached, plus an omelette station, freshly made pancakes, breads and pastries, cold meats and salads, fruits and freshly squeezed juices, plus of course freshly (non-vending machine) tea, coffee and chocolate. Lunch was either at the poolside bar/restaurant or at a beach restaurant. Both have a good variety of meals and snacks with some variety each day, and we ate at both for the duration of our stay without duplicating what we had. Evening dining is a themed buffet set out at the poolside with a choice of main dishes matching the evening's theme, plus various stations freshly cooking additional dishes. If you don't like the choices on offer (unlikely, as there is a good selection and variety) then there is a pasta station which runs every evening as a "safe" choice. Food quality is very good, as is the standard of cooking and service. Our all-inclusive package included local wines, beers and locally made spirits, which we enjoyed during the stay. There is a unique local spirit called Konyagi known as the "Spirit of the Nation". If you are a gin lover (and even if you are not) it's definitely worth trying this slightly lime/citrus tasting spirit, which mixes well with tonic water and other typical gin mixers. There are 2 bars at the resort: the pool bar, where most of the activity takes place and a second bar not far from the lobby, which seems to be less crowded and is where films are shown every evening What really made the stay was the service being offered by the staff, in particular the chefs, waiting and bar staff. This is due to Scott, the Food and Beverage manager, who has amazing energy, enthusiasm and leadership. He is always positive and can be all over the resort, encouraging and motivating his team and interacting with guests to ensure they have the best time possible. He is well-liked and respected by his team. I did have a chat with several of the bar, kitchen and waiting team (sorry, not sorry Scott) who enjoy working with and for him, saying that they really feel he appreciates the work they put in for both him and the guests. What would make things better? Well, the AI package can be confusing at times, and it feels like you always need to check whether what you want to eat, drink or do is included in the AI package to avoid paying additional fees. Some of the watersport equipment needs renewing/updating as it's looking a little tired. Overall, a great resort for a week to 10-day stay, particularly to relax after a busy safari itinerary, but any more than that and it would start to feel a little "small"
