We went here with my daughter and her two kids, ages 9 and two. We were a bit apprehensive going to a family resort during half term, but I have to say it was great. Very clean place, clean restaurant, food was plentiful with a lot of choice. Staff were always making sure it was clean. The rooms were really nice, although I would choose top floor next time because the family above us loved furniture about. Lots of slides for the kids, would definitely recommend. The resident entertainment staff were amazing, they put on some great shows in the evening.

Strongly advise to read the reviews! We took the view of seeing for ourselves but wish we’d have listened to what we read. The hotel is absolutely incapable of catering for the amount of guests. Staffing and infrastructure is not fit for purpose. The food is terrible but what is worse is the whole ‘restaurant’ experience. The space is not adequate, bodies everywhere, queues for absolutely everything so you’ve no chance of a hot piece of toast and an egg at the same time. You cannot let your children out of your sight through fear of them getting hot food and drinks spilled onto them or getting lost in the crowds. Then there’s the beach restaurant - yes the food quality is slightly better but you have no chance of getting any. Regularly no plates available, most people resorted to getting chips in paper cups. Pizzas are edible but only if you want to queue for 20 minutes, only to then have to fight with the very rude people who push in front of you - and that includes the life guards who also waltz in, don’t queue and take the food from paying customers. Rotisserie chickens were occasionally on offer at the beach restaurant but again you were lucky if you timed it right when a few of them were taken out, and again, you’d have to queue and fight to get a look in. A lady in front of me took 2 whole chickens without any consideration for the queue of people. The ‘chefs’ will talk to the Spanish people and offer favouritism so if you’re English, good luck! The salads and bread are never covered up which is just off putting when you know there are flies around, but also means they are very dry. Can’t comment on the evening beach restaurant as we could never get in. Bars- again not equipped with adequate staffing so you’re queuing constantly. Not ideal when one parent is constantly at the bar queue whilst the other looks after the children. Drinks are poor but I’ve come to expect that on AI. However, the upcharge for cocktails etc is something I’ve never come across and is a bit of a joke for AI. Be prepared to spend lots of money on sweets and ice cream just to ensure your children are actually consuming something! A very clever way of the hotel making more money. We ate out 5 out of 7 nights. Chinese and Italian over the blue bridge are both excellent- would not surprise me if the hotel have shares here knowing that lots of their customers will be forced to eat out away from the hotel. Finally, we raised a health and safety issue and have basically been ignored by both the hotel and TUI. There is a hot drinks machine situated at the main entertainment bar right above where the children’s arcade machines are. My daughter had a cup of hot chocolate thrown all over her by another child. Thankfully she was not scolded but did have to go back to the room to shower and change. I was extremely concerned when I investigated where the machine was situated as it is easily accessible by children and adults and produced boiling hot drinks. This was approx 10pm at night and was chaos around that area due to children being at the machines. I asked for the drinks machine to be covered up and only accessed by staff during these periods but was ignored. I’ve followed this up with TUI who said ‘they’ll share the feedback’. Please be aware as this is a terrible accident waiting to happen. We have been to many AI, and although the food is never amazing, there is always something however this really isn’t the case here. If food is important to you, please read the reviews. This hotel is not 4 star and needs reviewing. The slides and water park are brilliant but not enough to save the holiday especially for adults who look forward to some nice food and drink on their holiday.

Not many pros and so many cons, pros are nice rooms, good pools and splash world is good and that's about all that's good, now the cons, we arrived and air con not working in room, went to reception to get it fixed but nearly a day later I fixed it myself using YouTube, the guy called 5 days later to fix it, we had ants on balcony and 4 nights i went to reception to get this sorted and on the 6th night they came and sprayed the area, ants were back next day, the food is terrible, mostly the same stuff every day, breakfast was probably the best but have to que for eggs every morning as they fry them there, 2 restaurants in the complex and it's like a cattle mart waiting, they have a second restaurant you need to book at reception that have speciality nights but always a big que for pizza and its only plain cheese pizza always and very slow getting it out as the oven only hold 3 pizzas to cook, 98% of the staff don't speak or understand English, there is a pizza/sushi ear in or take away 8 mins walk up road and they do a good pizza, the food at the complex is truly shocking, there are toilets scattered through complex but it's 1 toilet for me and 1 toilet for women, we went first week in june, a bit of queuing for toilet and always people banging on doors to get in so I'd hate to go in july/August when it's busy season, the beach is full of rocks and can't swim there, there is no sucurity at the complex at all, an argument broke out 1 night we were there and a woman from reception had to come out to sort it out, the smell of weed is rampant throughout the complex and comes in through the air con, if your booking any excursions go to the Irish tui rep Rebecca, the other is a Turkish girl named Didi and she is all about trying to get as money out of you as possible and will not give you proper info, she is all about the sale, we nearly found this out the hard way, going to estepone (inexpensive place) and Gibralta for the day was the highlight of our 10 days here, 3 days 2 many, Peurto Banus good on Saturday for market and cheap enough but shops/restaurants are pricey, we were told by taxi driver that Banus is not for kids, loads of mafia and drugs, his words, overall kids enjoyed globles Playa estepone for the pools and splashworld but the food and waiting is shocking, we would not return anytime

Family of 8 adults and 2 children of 5 and 18months superb facilities for children clean rooms good bathrooms lovely surroundings reasonable little shop but totally let down by food. It was a little better in beach restaurant in evening but overall let down the rest of hotel. Stayed short break early June 2026.

A convenient location as we have family members living nearby. A family oriented hotel. Plenty of space, swimming pools and water park for amusement.
