Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa

My wife and I stayed at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa for one night. The natural setting is beautiful, with lush greenery and relaxing ocean views. Our room had a sea view, which was one of the highlights of the stay. However, the overall experience fell well below our expectations for an all-inclusive beach resort. The resort buildings feel dated, and the water in the bathroom was noticeably salty. The swimming pool was surprisingly small and underwhelming for a resort of this size. The beach itself is beautiful, but it was difficult to fully relax because there were persistent vendors along the shoreline trying to sell products and services. We found ourselves repeatedly having to decline offers instead of enjoying the beach peacefully. The Wi-Fi coverage was extremely poor throughout our stay. The all-inclusive package was also disappointing. Compared to other all-inclusive destinations we have visited, particularly in Antalya, the food and beverage offering felt very limited. The resort was nearly empty during our stay, with perhaps only around 20 guests on the property. Lunch was served à la carte. The salad was poor, the soup was acceptable, and the main course was disappointing. Dinner was buffet-style but offered limited variety and average quality. Breakfast was the best meal of the stay and was reasonably good. Cocktail options were very limited, with only a few alcoholic cocktails available. The staff generally appeared friendly and helpful, but we often felt uncomfortable with the level of attention we received. There was a noticeable persistence in interactions, particularly around food and beverage service, that made it difficult to fully relax. My wife also felt uncomfortable at times because some interactions seemed overly familiar rather than professionally attentive. The resort lacked activities and entertainment, which further contributed to the feeling that the property was quiet and underutilized. Overall, the beautiful natural surroundings are the resort’s greatest strength. Unfortunately, the facilities, food, all-inclusive offering, Wi-Fi, beach experience, and overall atmosphere did not meet our expectations for a relaxing luxury resort stay.

It was a heavenly experience. The staff are very friendly right from the reception to the security personnel and the waiting staff. The beach is accessible. The rooms with a beach view are spacious and clean.

We had the pleasure of staying at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa for 7 wonderful days, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality of the entire team made us feel right at home. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, allowing us to completely relax and enjoy our stay. We are incredibly grateful to Victorina from reservations for her efficiency and helpfulness, and to Beryl and Collins at the front desk for always greeting us with a smile and assisting us so kindly. The food and beverage experience was exceptional, thanks to Jack and his team. A heartfelt thank you to Irene, Benjamin, Jane, Asha, and Faridah for their attentive and friendly service — you truly made every meal special. We also deeply appreciate the housekeeping staff for maintaining our room beautifully throughout our stay, and a special mention to the security guard and his lovely dog Tom, who added such a unique and welcoming touch to our daily walks. To everyone who contributed in big and small ways — thank you for making our trip so memorable. We leave with wonderful memories and look forward to returning again soon. Highly recommended!
