We just returned from a 10 night stay here as a family with 2 kids aged 4 & 6. We really enjoyed our stay, the water park is brilliant for kids, you can get fresh towels from there daily however you have to go in the morning otherwise they run out. The water park has a snack bar we found this the nicest one. The main pool was also nice to swim in and sit around, with lots of daily entertainment and music. The entertainers are really great, especially ‘Ale’ who made my little boys holiday special. ❤️ kids mini disco and face painting every night. The food was nice but repetitive. There is something for everyone, chips, pizza, Greek salads, ice cream, pork, chicken. We did eat out a few nights to change it up. Cleaners came every day and gave us fresh towels and they changed the beds regularly however the floor didn’t get swept the whole time, and the bathroom didn’t get cleaned at all. The hotel is in a great location there’s lots to do nearby, a kids soft play and trampoline place just 5 mins walk away. Lots of bars and the strip is not far. Also right next to a bus stop which was very convenient and affordable. The beach just a 5 minutes walk is beautiful. Overall we would definitely recommend for people with kids, we all had an amazing holiday.

Me and my partner had a lovely stay at sun palace, lots around to do and see! But the main reason I’m writing this review is because during my stay I lost my bag with my Polaroid camera inside, but the lovely gentleman Phillip found it as I was leaving and handed it back!! I am over the moon!! Thank you again Phillip!! I appreciate it so so sooo much!! You’re a star!! 🌟

We stayed here as a family for two weeks and had a really enjoyable experience overall. Initially, our room overlooked the parking area, but after we spoke to the manager, we were kindly relocated to a much nicer ground-floor room in a block just outside the water park, right next to the pool. The room itself wasn’t renovated, but it was clean, comfortable, and perfectly adequate for our needs since we mainly used it for sleeping. The bathroom was in good condition, and housekeeping did a great job—cleaning daily and changing towels every day. The water park was fantastic and definitely a highlight of our stay. Our kids absolutely loved it, and the pools were excellent. The food was also very good. I follow a very restrictive diet, but I was still able to enjoy every meal thanks to the wide variety of options available. The snack bar at the water park was convenient too, while the choice is limited, there was always something available to eat. The unlimited ice cream was a big bonus! The entertainment was great, and all the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

We stayed at the Sun Palace Hotel for 14 nights and we had the best time. After reading some of the reviews on here we were so close to changing hotels but we were glad we didn’t. On arrival we didn’t get the room we initially wanted but spoke to the manager at reception and we were quickly moved to a perfect room in block 700, situated on the ground floor facing the smaller quieter pool which we loved. The room itself wasn’t renovated but was still of a decent standard and cleaned daily by the maids. The foods great, plenty of choice even for fussy eaters. They have themed nights that rotate such as Italian, Mexican, International, Arabic, & Rhodian and are greeted on entrance by the restaurant staff and shown to a table which is a nice touch. The waiter’s & waitresses do a great job of removing plates etc. once you have finished. The snack bar at the waterpark is also great offering decent choices, probably one of the best snack bars we have had compared to previous hotels. The waterpark is brilliant and we spent most of our time there, the life guards are attentive, friendly and helpful particularly the lady at the entrance who hands out the towels. The evening consists of kids mini disco followed by bingo then a show which we all enjoyed, the main guy who hosts it all (can’t remember his name) is hilarious. The animation team are fantastic and are brilliant at getting everybody from all ages involved in the activities, big shouts to Alessandro, Chad & Jake. The bar staff are also amazing, particularly Dominik at the smaller pool who was always so cheerful and polite and a real credit to the hotel. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return.

There seems to be a mixed bag of reviews for this hotel from 1 out of 5 to 5 out of 5 And I think that is because it all depends on the price you paid for your holiday and if you get a renovated room or not. I Am basing my review on the price we paid for this holiday which was £955.00 for two of us for 1 week in June all-inclusive and the room we were given. I did read nearly all the reviews before booking and looked at some videos on you tube that other travellers had taken of the complex. So some of what we experienced was not a total shock to us to but was hoping for better. NEGATIVES in no particular order ROOMS 1st room given was dreadful truly dreadful disgusting bathroom, architrave was missing, Bad smell, very dark. The second room we were given was in a block were they also housed some of the staff on the ground floor so are view from are balcony was of a old couch for staff to sit on pairs washed shoes and lines of washing and a general unkempt area. (no we did not book a sea view room, but we did expect more than a old couch). The building next to us looked like some of the balcony's were about to fall off. SO OUR ROOM WAS NOT A REVAMPED ROOM Door to our room was with a key that even the staff could not open, but we did after a lot of fiddling we opened it and the handle was about to fall off very loose, the door its self-needed replacing. Beds awful, very very soft with no mattress protectors and lots of stains on them. Bathroom constant drip from shower head and tap; We tried all sorts to stop it and we are builders, shower was handheld so difficult to shower. Both soap dispensers empty but one was filled after we complained. Shower basin and toilet needed replacing old grubby . Aircon did work but the flap at the front was missing so it just blows straight out on to you not comfortable, Pus it was extra loud and you could hear all the other air cons from the other rooms when trying to sleep at night. Cleaners are friendly and came in almost every day, but they never cleaned the sink, toilet, or shower just made up the bed with same sheets (they were changed once) and swept the floor and changed towels. Room was full of mosquitos we were bit to death 1st night, we were given spray for second night. The landings are full of giant flying ants not really the hotel's fault but they could spray more often. COMMUNAL AREAS AND OTHER STUFF All the public toilets need replacing, some cubicles have doors missing most doors don't have locks on them and broke in one way or another or very grubby. And for some reason the floors are always wet not just puddles but all the floor is wet floors round pools and other areas were never washed down when we was there so many sticky areas. Sun loungers and parasols need replacing most are broken in one way or another. Drinks machines for hot and cold drinks there is plenty of them but they are all disgusting need a complete deep clean not just the trays. No bottle water only tap water ( unless you buy it from the shop) There is a guy that goes round with a trolley collecting cups and rubbish but he pushing the trolley way to close to you in-between the sun lounges and the slopes in his bucket splashes you, its has a nasty old mop on there as well. Some parts look like they are up grading so some parts do look unfinished SOME of the cliental were shocking not the hotels fault but really the worse we have ever seen in 40 years of going on holiday they did spoil some of our holiday. WATER PARK All slides on outside and inside could do with a clean and the stairs have abandoned tissues, plasters, clumps of hairs, etc on them from day one to the day we left. Inside the lazy river, and wave machine wall tiles need a clean, entrance to wave machine floor needs repainting its almost all just bare concrete The same dirty cups were left on the grass area in the water park the whole week was there. There are just written instructions on how to ride the slides one or two life guards that spend most of there time blowing whistles. One is very good the one on the wave machine and lazy river. Wave machine only comes on 3 times a day Some of the slides don't have enough water running on them so you can get stuck sometimes or a little sore ( we are both very slim) I ended up with a massive bruise on my bum. MAIN POOL The pool water was a bit cloudy and under the over flow grids needs a really good clean. I must have pulled out 7 plastic cups over the week from the pool I saw kids pouring drinks in the pool( not really the hotels fault more the parents) Again all Sun loungers and parasols need replacing most are broken in one way or another. And some of the floor areas are very sticky from split drinks which the ants loved There is some out door sofas but quite a few of the cushion are missing. ENTERTAINMENT Not the worst but not the best the team are very friendly and do try and include all guest of all agers. The night time was ok nothing special best night was a group of I think two lads and one girl singing. ( Not the bony M group) there was karaoke, quiz night, magic show ( was last night miss that) a poor Greek night, Mr hotel missed that as well. Day time could have been better they need more space to do the actives. And music one most of it out dated 2nd its way to loud. DRINKS About the same as most basic all-inclusive hotels your not really going to get drunk, coffee and wine was not good coke and soda water a little flat FOOD Main restaurant its edible you wont starve you can always make yourself some kind of sandwich for us there was way to much pork or pork and beef mixed together. The mains were not very good I mean you could eat them they was cooked well but just not exciting or very tasty. Positive plenty fresh salads, all kinds of sandwich fillings wide range of fresh fruit and pastry's and cakes. Burger bar never used the staff seemed to be very unwelcoming so never bothered. Snack bar at main pool never used except for ice cream Never used the free Mexican or Italian onsite restaurants did not like the menu you get one free visit per ristorante per stay so no comment really POSITIVES Snack bar in water park was the best for food you can get breakfast there form 10am and lunch from12 noon right up to 6pm. ITS all cooked fresh not a massive choice but is taste better than the main restaurant. The water park is the best feature of this complex and has a great selection of slides etc for all agers, lazy river is a great extra. location 5 min walk to beach, 5 min walk into falirki, bus stop right outside, a few shops opposite the hotel have a good range of items and you can book trips from here and hire a car. opposite hotel is a kids indoor soft play area and another small water park both payable. The areas that have been revamp or are brand new look amazing. There is ice cream available all day at both snack bars On site games area, arcade, hair Brading, photographer, On site gym but needs free weights like dumbbells. On site spa never used it On site fish spa You have to wait to be seated in restaurant which works very well Where they have planted up plants look very nice. Free towels from water park Luggage room for arrival and departures On site shop blows up inflatables All staff friendly lady at water park with the towels very friendly and helpful, the guy on the bar next to water park serving drinks also credit to hotel. And the reception staff the booked us in dealt with us very well Had a view of cat and her kittens form our room was lovely to watch them . MY tip is the cleanest part is on the island in the centre of the lazy river has the better loungers, less noise, nice light breeze, can just drop in to lazy river so not to far to walk for a swim. close enough for food and drink. Nice view of mountains BUT for the price we paid I think we got are moneys worth so if some of things I mention don't really bother you then go for it you wont starve you get a great water park there is mini club for the kids which we heard good things about and the kids club at night. And you can always walk to faliriki at night instead of watching the hotels entertainment. Maybe when its fully renovated and if they can improve on the food it will be a 4 star bit for now I give it just a 2 star. would we return not on your nelly never
