Remisens Hotel Epidaurus

now this was a different experience. Large resort style hotel with a massive dining area, pool, waterfront, very good slick front desk. But the room was clean and pleasant, great shower, a short walk from a small downtown and some good restaurants. We had a long day of Ebiking so once we arrived we were beat and wanted to (and did) find the pool, bar, and have some drinks and (in my case, a cigar). Then walked to restaurant Domizana about 10 minutes away. But it was just fine. Nothing at all to complain about and every thing you needed in a hotel. Well done.

Enjoyed our week family stay here. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, staff were lovely. Having direct access to a beach was wonderful. Beach is all pebbles - bring your aqua shoes. We really enjoyed the food options. Kids loved the kids club. 1 large main pool by the ocean that was very cold and we could not use. Shallow children wading pool and 1 other pool which was smaller and shallow enough to be warm temperature to enjoy. Nice walk into cavtat (1km). Plenty of ferry options to Dubrovnik. Our only negatives: main pool was so pretty but too cold, we could not use in early June. Beach towels can only be collected at certain times. If you miss the 10am or 5pm slot the staff will not let you access a beach towel. Inconvenient for a beach resort.

The epidaurus hotel is a 3 star hotel but don't be put off by this we found the hotel excellent 👍 on arrival our room was at the front and no balcony , oh no , but the room was clean and well presented and maintained by olgica (thanks) with fresh towels and a spruce up👍, the sea view (back) of hotel had stunning views on sunset but we were in a bar by then, the food was plentiful and a wide choice so something for all , the Croatian nite (wee) was excellent with the live music from kliperty claperti excellent overall would definitely return

This is a comparison of both Remisens hotels that are almost next door to each other in Cavtat, Epidaurus 3* (stayed in June 2026) and the Albatross 4* (stayed in Sept 2025) Both hotels have pros and cons and I’d happily return to either of them. This review is based on my experience and my own personal likes and dislikes to give people a comparison as a summary rather than flick between reviews separately Pool area Epicurus. Main pool has unbeatable views and bar and entertainment. Baby pool has plenty to keep small children entertained and the other adult pool is in a quiet area. However, barring the daily leaf blower, we never saw any of the pool areas get cleaned The Albatross has a large and children’s pool next to each other, entertment and the pool bar is a short walk away. The pool areas were cleaned daily. But the views are of the hotel or the sea if you get a sunlounger close to the fence. Rooms. The Epidaurus is a large hotel of various buildings and if you book a sea view with balcony the views are stunning. Some rooms don’t have balconies and the views from the front are not great. Select wisely. Our rooms were relatively small and the bathrooms tiny, as was the balcony. No kettles but did have fridge and safe. Hsk go in everyday to make bed and replace toilet rolls and towels (if put on the floor) however our balcony floor wasn’t cleaned once in our week. The Albatross has lovely views of the sea and the mountain to the side (which was our view) the rooms, bathroom and balconies and a very good size, kettles and mugs in the rooms and fridge safe. Hsk cleaned the room and balcony every day and refreshed the essentials. Hotels grounds. Epidaurus has lots of grounds that are very scenic and lots of potential if they were cleaned. Lots of people walk round with brush and dustpans but never saw a single person mop anywhere and some stains on the steps were there all week. The Albatross grounds are not very extensive or as scenic but they are cleaned constantly and daily. Bar area. Epidaurus is based at reception with a balcony, plenty of seating and views are unbeatable. The Albatross seating is very brightly lit, seating not very comfy but if you get a window seat then you get the views. Restaurant. Epidaurus all food luke warm but nice enough and I believe there is something for everyone, even on themed nights there was still pizza, salad, potatoes and breads. The restaurant was clean, big and lovely, the outside area is lovely with views but the floor wasn’t mopped regularly enough. The Albatross had more selections of food and better quality (particularly the cheese and cracker section was better) the seating areas inside and out was plentiful and cleaned regularly General appearance. Epidaurus needs some TLC, lick of paint inside and out and better, more often cleaning. The Albatross is renovated so fresh, clean and spotless Staff at both were lovely Entertainment. Both hotels had entertainment and was good, however the Epidaurus is predominantly french guests so unless a participant was any other nationality all the announcements were in french If I can manage to upload pictures they are of the Epidaurus Thanks to both hotels for 2 lovely vacations. Cavtat town is also beautiful and a short walk from both hotels

I’ve just returned from a wonderful holiday and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The hotel was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with staff who genuinely went out of their way to make everything feel effortless. The food was consistently excellent, with plenty of choice and great quality throughout. The pool and outdoor areas were beautifully kept, making it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. The whole place had a calm, welcoming atmosphere that made the week feel like a proper reset. I’d happily return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well‑run break.
