Aminess Liburna Hotel

We booked this hotel because of the location and amenities. The hotel is about an half mile from the port. We easily walked with our carryon luggage to the hotel. The location and view are great. There is a nice (cool) pool, the breakfast buffet has plenty of options, The room was comfortable with a small fridge and bath products included. We could easily get done to the water. We walked into the city easily, several times a day. I realized a day after we had left for Dubrovnik that I had left my Kindle in my hotel room. I had just purchased it for the trip. It did not have my name on it. I emailed the hotel and they got right back to me that they had it at the front desk. I was a two hour boat ride away. I assked if they could mail it to me in the US. They said they would see if they could put it on the Catamaran the following day and get it to me in Dubrovnik. The people I was in contact with at the hotel were Bruna and Andela. They were both so helpful. They got my Kindle on the noon cat the next day. I met the Cat and got it from one of the workers on the boat. I so appreciated the excellent service and help I received from the staff at this hotel. They went above and beyond.

The only reason I am giving this hotel as many as 2 stars is because of its wonderful location. I’ve been traveling through Slovenia and Croatia for the past 10 days, and this hotel is so below par that it’s unbelievable. It looks very nice from the outside, but the interior public areas are lackluster at best. That would still be acceptable, but the rooms are a disgrace. The decor made me nostalgic for my old university dorm, but again I could have lived with that. Here is a list of what was wrong, the door had obviously been kicked in at some point, and the locking hardware was all bent; the shower head came off during a shower, the towel rack pulled out of the wall; the towels were thin and grey; a bottle of all purpose shower gel-handwashing-shampoo was attached to the wall above the sink, yet in the shower there was shampoo only. No soap or shower gel. There were 2 windows, but the curtain would only cover one of them, and the curtain was coming down. The toilet paper holder spun around so that the roll always fell off. The smoke detector in our friend’s room was leaking some kind of gross stuff, and the bed and sheets were wet. The front desk staff seemed totally indifferent to these issues, and did nothing. The breakfast was the worst by far of any hotel yet. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!.

Very Nice hotel, 10 min walk to old town which is perfect after eating in town. Room was great although there was a staircase to out bedroom. Had a great view of old town from nice balcony. Great breakfast spread. Definitely would recommend.

Have outdoor pool but can also use the indoor pool next to this hotel (Thank you information from front desk). Although there was no boutique vibe as our previous hotels, this was for sure a spacious, bright and functional hotel. Mattresses were as uncomfortable as other reviews indicated. I had to fold and tuck a bath towel underneath. The room was functional in regards to the closets and the organisers. However it would be nicer if they installed some storage space/more hooks in the bathroom as well. Towels were a bit dated.

We were very happy with this hotel and our room with balcony overlooking the town which we had pre-booked. The views are spectacular overlooking the town and would recommend this when staying here. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and cleaned every day. The pool area was nice and we had no problem getting sun loungers even though the hotel was fully booked. We really liked the design of the hotel. Everything gravitates you towards the back of the hotel where the seating is with the views. Bar prices were very reasonable including happy hours on all the days we stayed. Breakfast was pretty good but the evening buffet was disappointing. It was fairly cheap as part of our our included package and we only used it one night. No drinks were supplied at the buffet, these needed to be purchased at the bar. This was the only minor criticism of an otherwise perfect stay here.
